I love people.
I love marriages.
I love problem-solving.
I love God.
Put all of that together and that’s what fueled my passion for Unspoken Vows.
I’m so glad you stopped by! If you’re married, engaged, in a relationship, or want to personally get yourself ready for your future relationship you’ve come to the right place. Unspoken Vows was created to encourage and empower couples to build stronger, long-lasting, Christ centered marriages. Brokenness often times comes from things that are left Unspoken. My husband and I have learned that throughout the years we’ve been married. It is my hope that during our time together we learn to overcome the pitfalls that come from things left Unspoken so that we can build Strong Vows and even Stronger Marriages.
Let's Get Personal
I’ve been married for 10 amazing years to my high school sweetheart, Carlton. Carlton and I met in 6th grade and he instantly knew I would be his girl (his words not mine), however it took a little convincing for me to come around, 6 years to be exact. In our senior year of high school he finally was able to seal the deal! We dated, broke up, got back together, he proposed and we got married after college and we now have 2 beautiful children, Alyssa (7) & Ashton (3). Our marriage is far from perfect and we have had a few bumps along the way. Prayerfully some of the lessons we’ve learned, challenges we’ve overcome, and joys we’ve experienced will in someway help strengthen your marriage as you also grow as an individual.
Besides being a wife and a mother I’m also a middle school counselor. I love middle school - the students in their awkward stage, the daily drama, helping them figure out this thing called middle school, and the joy of seeing them grow and reach their goals.
While my life is very full and sometimes it feels like I'm being pulled in a million different directions, I'm so blessed to be a wife, mother, counselor, and now a blogger.
